My first few rounds of canning: today I made another batch of Jon's fave jalepeno jelly.
Jam made from Oregon blueberries:
2 types of jalepeno jelly (those with a V are vegan for Jon's veggie friend):
Leftover jalepeno jelly for Jon: (it will probably get eaten tonight with cream cheese and crackers - yum!)
Do you think it decreases my earth mother credits that I'm watching Charlie Wilson's War while I can?? =)

I didn't know you guys could can. After most of my childhood helping to can apples, I have no desire any more, and neither does Sandi. She just freezes the tomatoes and peppers for casserols and stuff.

I am not sure I've had jalapeno jelly, but it sounds like it Could be very tasty, and obviously since Jon loves it, it must be good. Our garden has not been super productive this year, but we are finding ourselves with a lot of jalapenos, and would love to try to make some jelly ourselves! Could you share your recipe?
